Honeywell manufactures a wide range of very high quality security systems and has done so for years. Honeywell has split their security business into two halves. The commercial security systems retained the brand Honeywell, while the Residential and Small Business system are now sold under the Resideo brand.

Many Kansas City area homes have Honeywell security systems in them. There are many models out there, but they fall in two main categories. The first category is the distributed, hard-wired version that has a separate keypad, hardwired and wireless sensors, siren and controller.
